Chicago Thanksgiving

Chicago Tree Lighting

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! This year the family and I made the holiday into a mini trip to the windy city.  We stayed at the Palmer House downtown (thank you hotel points) and enjoyed the holiday festivities that downtown offers. We attended the tree lighting ceremony, window shopped at the historic Marshall Fields (now Macy’s), explored the holiday market, and watched the Thanksgiving Day Parade. Chicago was particularly chilly (i’m loving the warmth of the south now) but it made for festive weather.  Thanksgiving day we joined Joe’s family outside of the city. Somehow I managed to take zero pictures on Thanksgiving day itself. Whoops.

I am so thankful for my family and was thrilled to be able to spend the holiday with them.
